Ivanhoe (CBS 1982, Anthony Andrews, James Mason)

This is another version of Walter Scott’s oft-filmed tale of derring do – Ivanhoe. In this TV Movie, Ivanhoe (played by Anthony Andrews), a worthy and noble knight, the champion of justice returns to England after the holy wars. He find England under the reign of Prince John and his henchmen and finds himself being involved in the power-struggle for the throne of England.

A well cast production peppered with high quality English character actors and with quite a glossy look too.
