Jordskott (TV2 2015, Moa Gammel, Goran Ragnestam)
Critically acclaimed Nordic mystery thriller Jordskott is set deep in the ancient forests of Sweden. Seven years after the disappearance of her daughter Josefine, police investigator Eva Thornblad (Moa Gammel) is still trying to come to terms with her grief and gnawing sense of loss. At the time it was widely believed that Josefine drowned in the nearby Silverhojd Lake, but Eva knows in her heart that someone took her child on that fateful day. Old wounds are reopened as a young boy goes missing in the Silverhojd forest. Taking part in the search for the missing child, she soon finds herself revisiting the dark mystery which still haunts her.
As she is drawn into the investigation, she learns that there are much deeper and more evil forces at work than anyone could imagine – but how far is she prepared to go to protect the one she loves? Convinced that the same person is responsible for the abductions of the boy and Josefine, she is shaken when she comes across a sick and mute girl in a road through the forest in the middle of the night – a girl who distinctly resembles her daughter.
Season 2 sees the return of tough police detective Eva who returns to her old job in Stockholm in an attempt to put the haunting events that occurred in Silverhojd behind her and begin a new chapter. However, the discovery of a mutilated corpse floating beneath the ice of a suburban lake leads her to believe she is not yet done with her past.
