Lance At Large (BBC Sitcom, Lance Percival)
BBC sitcom Lance at Large detailed the misadventures of Alan Day (Lance Percival) who each week find himself in a new situation. This meant of course that the only regular was Alan himself but it also afforded the opportunity for plenty of guest stars including the likes of Eric Barker, Suzy Kendall, Millicent Martin, Bernard Bresslaw, Fred Emend, Hugh Paddick, Arthur Mullard and Thorley Walters.
This was the first full series for writers David Nobbs and Peter Tinniswood who had previously worked with Lance on satirical sketch show That Was The Week That Was. Lance’s follow up series to this, The Lance Percival Show, reverted to the variety/sketch format.

Writers: David Nobbs, Peter Tinniswood / Theme Music: Ken Jones / Producer: Dennis Main Wilson
