Land Of Hope (Channel 7 1986, Patricia Kennedy)
Period drama serial Land of Hope spanned 80 years in the lives of the Irish Quinn family starting in the 1890’s and taking in all the key historical events, two world wars, the depression etc.
It was a pretty lavish affair but unlike many other period Aussie dramas of the day went for a longish run of 10 episodes rather than the two or four hour mini-series route and consequently it hasn’t been seen too often since.
