Is It Legal? (ITV-C4 1995-1998, Patrick Barlow, Imelda Staunton)

Sitcom Is It Legal? detailed the exploits of the staff of the firm of shambolic solicitors Lotus, Spackman & Phelps. Stella Phelps was the senior partner whilst the other partners were Colin Lotus and Dick Spackman. Also working in the office were senior clerk Bob, secretary Alison and general dogsbody Darren.

The show moved from ITV to Channel Four for its third and final season after Carlton passed on making any further episodes (this was despite the fact that the show was named best ITV Comedy during it’s first season.
