Crime drama series Liverpool One was a star vehicle for Samantha Janus. She played Detective Isobel de Pauli who moved from London to join the vice squad on Merseyside.
Her new partner was Mark Callaghan (played by Mark Womack who Janus got married to after meeting him on this series) and their boss was Detective Inspector Howard Jones.
Running through the series was de Pauli’s attempts to bring down local bad boy John Sullivan – who also happened to be Callaghan’s cousin.
Liverpool One ran for two seasons and was capable enough but generally unmemorable.
