Masterspy, The (ITV 1977, William Franklyn, Jenny Lee-Wright)

Interesting game show The Masterspy channeled into the ever popular James Bond spy genre with presenter William Franklyn posing as the head of a top secret spy organisation and Jenny Lee-Wright as his faithful secretary Miss Moneypacker giving a trio of members of the public (who were also posing as spys) the chance to win a top quality electrical item like a TV or a digital watch.

The real fun though was to be had in them acting the spy and taking on a series of challenges that ranged from simple memory games to displaying expert knowledge on certain types of hand guns to practical tests such as freeing a trapped agent or showing off their shooting skills.

Adding hugely to the Masterspy fun were the appearances from actors such as David Jason, Norman Bowler and Tony Adams (Adam Chance from Crossroads) who acted in little segments as well as managing to stay in character whilst interacting with the contestants.
