Motel ATN7 1968

Soap drama series that told stories of the staff and residents of a motel in Canberra. The show was shown at midday four times a week (and repeated in the evening).

The Gideon motel was run by Hal and Mary Gideon and the series was mainly focused on them and their family, who included businessman son Rod, his put upon wife Gaye, their rebellious teenage son Chris, their other daughters Liz (who was secretary to politician Paul Brennan – which did help bring in another element to the serial).

Other regulars on the series included Maria and Janie who worked at the motel as well as motel owner Alec Evans and Reverend Larcombe (Ross Higgins).
