In thriller My Fragile Heart Trina Lavery returns home to her small Stoke home town after 20 years away to care for her ageing mother, she learns that Bernard Cleve, a man convicted of murdering her best friend when she was in her teens, is also living in the area after having his conviction quashed.
Then another young girl is found murdered in the exact same spot as Trina’s friend was found, Bernard is once again prime suspect but Trina starts to think he may be innocent.
