North of 60 (CBC 1992-1997, John Oliver, Tina Keeper)

Drama series North of 60 told stories of the mostly ‘Cree’ residents of small Canadian village, Lynx River, in the Northwest Territories. Main characters included Mountie Michelle Kenidi and also fellow Mountie Sergeant Eric Olssen who had moved from the drug squad in Vancouver to try and get some stability back in his life, store owner Gerry and Rosie who worked in the store.

The show was never afraid to tackle important issues such as Alocholism, AIDS, unemployment etc.

Despite the show finishing in 1997 there were also five TV Movies, continuing the story, released between 1998 and 2005.
