A special Royal Gala in aid of the St John Ambulance celebrating the centenary of the organisation, the performers were Douglas Fairbanks, Frankie Vaughan, Dudley Moore, Daniel Remy, Peter Cook, Andy Williams, Danny La Rue and The Brotherhood of Man. The production came from London’s Talk of the Town and featured a huge number of Royals in the audience including The Queen, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Earl Mountbatten of Burma, King Hussien of Jorden, the King and Queen of Sweden, King Constantine and the Queen of the Hellenes, Princess Margaretha of Sweden, Prince Tomislav of Yugoslavia, Princess Katerina of Yugoslavia, Prince and Princess Wilhelm Karl of Prussia, Prince Albert of Monaco and the Prince and Princess Gut de polignac.
