Pingu (BBC 1986-2000)

Very long running childen’s stop frame animation following the adventures of a South Polar ice cap dwelling little penguin called Pingu.

Pingu is a very cute show, his world is one we can recognise, his dad is a postman, he has a little baby sister (who plays the trumpet!) Pingu and his family have their own language “Pinguish” which means that everyone, whatever language they speak, can enjoy it, no doubt that is why the show is so popular around the world. Each of the shows six seasons took several years to make.
