In comedy drama series Playing For Real when Billy Buchan dies, his daughter Chrissie (Patricia Kerringan) takes over the running of his subutteo football team installing herself as player/manager of Real Falkirk, much to the initial distress of her all male team-mates.
Subutteo is the much loved ‘flick to kick’ table top football game that first appeared in 1947 but reached the height of it’s popularity between the 1960’s and 1980’s thanks to the myriad different teams available (all based on real life soccer clubs) and the large amount of accessories you could collect.
