Recovery (BBC-1 2007, David Tennant, Sarah Parish)

Recovery is a drama about Alan Hamilton (David Tennant), a project manager with a wife Tricia (Sarah Parish) and two kids whose world is shattered when he is knocked down by a truck and left with brain damage that leaves him with major memory loss and the ability to do simple things. Tearing apart both himself and his family Alan tries his best to get back to normal but the accident also has a major impact on his wife and two boys.

Desperately sad but ultimately uplifting and with superb central performances from Tennant and Parish.
