In highly regarded sitcom Spaced, twentysomethings Daisy Steiner (Jessica Stevenson) and Tim Bisley (Simon Pegg) pose as a couple in order to be able to rent a flat, once ensconced in their flat they spend their times doing basically nothing. Also living in the building is artist Brian Topp (Mark Heap). Tim’s best friend Mike (Nick Frost) was pretty much a permanent fixture too, in fact he moved in during the second season.
Marsha Klein (Julia Deakin) was the tough landlady.
Pegg, Frost and director Edgar Wright would soon go on to major worldwide success with their zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead.
