Juliet Stevenson and Ken Stott star in a tender, emotional and gripping love story with an award-winning script by Richard Cameron. Redfern and Mary live quietly in a picturesque old mining village in the heart of Yorkshire. When Jean comes to the village, seeking refuge from a violent husband, her arrival threatens to change both their lives. This play was the first winner of an annual Dennis Potter tv award.
