The Brides Of Christ (ABC Drama, Lisa Hensley, Naomi Watts)

Period drama series The Brides Of Christ detailed episodes in the lives of a group of nuns during the 1960’s. Sister Agnes (Brenda Fricker) was at the centre of things as was Sister Catherine (Josephine Byrnes).

The series won AFI awards for Best Mini Series, Best Actress (Lisa Hensley), Best Director and Best Script) Filmed at Douglas Park, NSW. It was actually a co-production between ABC in Australia, Channel 4 in the UK and RTE in Ireland.
