The Caledonian Cascade (ITV 1977 with Barbara Murray and Iain Cuthbertson)
The bored wife of a prominent Scottish judge enters a hair-styling competition with a style designed by her hairdresser and called the “Caledonian Cascade” of the title.
Barbara Murray, who began her career as one of the Rank starlets, was given a rare chance for a lead role in this play, she revealed at the time that she was most impressed by being allowed to choose and spend a small fortune (1500 pounds) on her characters wardrobe.
