In one off comedy The Good Housekeeping Guide, written by Tony Basgallop, Raymond (Alan Davies) is an out-of-work divorced man whose wife left the marital home and the children in his care but now she has got her life sorted out she wants to move back in with her new man and for Raymond to go and Raymond does not have the finances to buy her out.

But when he finds out his neighbour Lydia (Doon Mackichan) is a prostitute he lets her use his house to entertain men in return for a cut and soon turns the house into a brothel hosting wild parties to get enough cash together to see his ex-wife off.
