The Waiting Time (ITV 1999, John Thaw, Zara Turner)

Based on a best seller by Gerald Seymour The Waiting Time sees John Thaw play solicitors clerk Joshua Mantle who finds himself drafted into working for British Intelligence and gets caught up in a mystery involving a ten year old murder and an extremely dodgy cover up.

John Thaw is a much missed actor, supremely watchable in everything he appears in and The Waiting Time is no exception. Co-stars include Zara Turner as the young spy at the heart of the mystery and there is also a role for former Doctor Who Colin Baker.
