In sitcom Thicker Than Water Fishmonger Jim Eccles longs for the quiet life but his three daughters and next door neighbour Aggie Plunkett usually conspire against it.
Thicker Than Water offered up a good starring role for comedian Jimmy Jewel who was moving into acting at this later stage in his career and notched up more than a few good roles. The series had begun life as a Comedy Playhouse entry called The Family of Fred which had starred Freddie Frinton.
