Three Golden Nobles was a seven part family adventure serial that aired on the BBC in 1959. A young Michael Crawford made an appearance as did Doctor Who Patrick Troughton and companion Frazer Hines. It was based on the novel by Christine Price, published in 1951 and concerning young Stephen Bellinger who in the mid 1300’s not only becomes a King’s painter but also manages to help free his oppressed home village.
