Sitcom Turnbull’s Finest Half-Hour took us to the ITV’s smallest network, Pentagon Television, which was in severe financial straits. Pentagon’s chief executive Sir Zachary Stein, tired of the situation, meets retired Major Clifford Turnbull at a party and persuades him to take over the running of the station.
