Two’s Company (ITV 1975-1979, Elaine Stritch, Donald Sinden)

Two’s Company was a classic Odd Couple style sitcom in which American author Dorothy McNab, resident in London, hires uppercrust English butler Robert Hiller, and soon finds herself at odds with him.

The series had strong scripts from the always reliable Bill MacIlwraith and brilliant performances from the leads.

There were some well known guest stars popping up across the four seasons including Penelope Keith, Tony Selby, Saeed Jaffrey, Derek Waring, Ed Bishop, Beryl Reid and Colin Jeavons.

Remade for the US as The Two of Us and there had been a previous sitcom made way back in 1956 with the title Two’s Company. This starred Peter Butterworth.
