Vic Reeves Big Night Out (Channel 4 Comedy)

Defiantly strange mixture of sketch and stand up presented in a surreal style by Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. Highlights included The Man With A Stick, Wavy Davy and Novelty Island. Vic and Bob then went over to the BBC with their series The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer. Charlie Higson popped up most weeks and Paul Whitehouse and Simon Day made quite a few appearances (Day appearing as his Tommy Cockles character)

There was an untransmitted pilot made in 1989 that was produced and directed by Geoff Posner. A special, Vic Reeves New Years Eve Big Night Out, was broadcast on 31 December 1990 before the start of season 2 and a second special, Vic Reeves Big Night Out On Tour, was broadcast 27 December 1991.
