Made in 1983 and featuring the last screen appearance of Richard Burton, Wagner tells the epic story of the German composer who sealed his position as one of the greatest composers ever thanks to some incredible work during the middle of the 19th century, but he was just as famous for his personal life creating a major scandal by having an affair with Liszt’s illegitimate daughter.

Featuring a towering central performance from Burton, the cast also includes Laurence Olivier, John Gielgud and Vanessa Redgrave.
