Warriors (BBC Drama, Matthew MacFadyen, Damian Lewis)

Hard hitting two part drama Warriors was set in 1992 when a group of soldiers serve a harrowing tour of duty as part of a UN peacekeeping force in Bosnia and then have to face upto what they have witnessed once they have returned home.

Sundays showing was followed by a Heart of the Matter debate about some of the issues raised in the film. Brilliantly directed by Peter Kosminsky and with a star making turn by Matthew MacFadyen as Private Alan James. Damian Lewis as Lt Neil Loughrey was also a standout.
