Period comedy drama We’re Doomed!: The Dad’s Army Story told the story of the genesis of classic sitcom from series co-creator Jimmy Perry’s (Paul Ritter) initial idea in 1967, persuading producer David Croft (Richard Dormer) to get involved through to the broadcast of the first episode in 1968.
Wonderfully played this was a very affectionate look back at one of the UK’s best loved sitcoms.
