Story of the racial tensions that led up to the Bradford Riots on 7 July 2001 and the events that followed as the rioters are systematically hunted down and arrested by the police.
Told from the point of view of the members of one Asian family who get caught up in the situation. This was Neil Biswas’s second drama commission for Channel 4 (after Second Generation), The script was based on a year of intense first-hand research within Bradford’s Pakistani community.
Biswas looks at this Muslim community from the inside to see how it lived and breathed before mass violence blew up its streets and explores the painful aftermath left in its wake.
