Extra Time was a spin-off series picking up the cliff-hanger endings to the 2005 series of Footballers’ Wive$ and featuring many of the same characters as well as introducing some new ones. In a reverse of that Nicholas Ball’s character Garry Ryan would join the parent show for the final season as new chairman of the club.
