Home James! (ITV 1987-1990, Jim Davidson, George Sewell)
Sitcom Home James! saw Cockney wideboy Jim London getting a job as chauffeur to millionaire Robert Palmer after Palmer loses his licence.
Henry, Palmer’s snooty butler, doesn’t approve of Jim initially but gradually comes to accept him as a reliable member of staff.
Jim spends most of his time driving Palmer and his daughter Sarah about. He also proves to be very helpful to Palmer when his business hits a bad patch.
The series marked Jim Davidson’s last TV acting role and was a sequel to Up The Elephant And Round The Castle. This serie began with the demolition of Jim’s old home.
