House Of Rock (Channel 4 2000-2002, Richard Preddy, Gary Howe)
Comedy animation House of Rock saw five famous dead rock stars all sharing a house together in the afterlife.
The five were initially Freddie Mercury, John Denver, Marc Bolan (later replaced by John Lennon), Kurt Cobain and Notorious BIG. Although Bolan was later replaced by John Lennon.
All of the five played up to their public personas whilst dealing with the mundanities of being dead.
The series was based on cartoons by Andy Watt and was used as fill-in segments on Channel’s 4Music strand. The episodes were then shown under their own House of Rock banner.
