House That Jack Built, The (BBC-1 2002, Adam Faith, Gillian Taylforth)

Jack Squire is a rich self-made man with a loud wife and three selfish children. Despite a stated 6 episodes when the series began, only 5 episodes were shown. It was critically panned and one episode, The Plague Pit, was initially scheduled but subsequently pulled. Jack’s wife, Maxine looks after his home and does her best to cope with his ever-changing moods.

His son Roger is married to Vicky. Unknown to Maxine and Roger, Jack and Vicky had a “fling” when she worked as his secretary, before she married Roger.
