Jeeves And Wooster (ITV 1990-1993, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry)

Jeeves and Wooster saw the perfect pairing of Stephen Fry as Jeeves and Hugh Laurie as Bertie Wooster in what is one of the best loved P.G. Wodehouse series.

The series took us back to the 1930’s where “silly-ass” and seriously upper class Bertie Wooster is got out of innumerable “spots of bother” by his buter Jeeves.

High of budget and production values the series tackled the Wodehouse stories superbly well. Quite a few of the later episodes took the pair to New York. There had been an early equally popular Jeeves and Wooster series. This was called The World of Wooster and aired on the BBC from 1965-1967 with Ian Carmichael as Bertie and Dennis Price as Jeeves.
