Occupation (BBC-1 2009, James Nesbitt, Warren Brown)

Drama serial Occupation focuses on three British soldiers who find themselves in Basra, Iraq during the first stage of occupation in 2003 and later, when each of the three is drawn to return, each for different reasons, money, love and idealism.

Filmed on location in Northern Ireland and Morocco, Occupation was a highly charged intense drama. James Nesbitt (still on his quest to be in every show ever made) took the lead and writer Peter Bowker spent some four years honing the scripts.
