Roughnecks (BBC One 1994-1995, Teresa Banham, James Cosmo)

Drama series Roughnecks detailed the lives on and off shore of the men and women working on the oil rig Osprey Explorer.

Series creator Kieran Prendiville was a well known BBC TV presenter on Tomorrow’s World before he turned writer, this was his second BBC series following the hugely successful Ballykissangel. This was an OK series but failed to catch the imagination in the way that Ballyk had and only lasted two seasons.
