Silver Collection, The (Sunday Night Theatre ITV 1971, Helen Mirren, Billy Murray)

In The Silver Collection Rachel works at an art gallery, she falls for Jim who also works at the gallery but intellectually they are poles apart. Jim believes Rachel needs to take more notice of the real world and stop being such a dreamer.

A strong role for Helen Mirren and an early leading role for Billy Murray are the chief highlights of this one off drama in the Sunday Night Theatre strand.

classic quote
“All over the world there are people like me – looking after beautiful things. And doing jobs that seem silly to you… And I don’t believe what you said about the distance between us.”
