The Andromeda Breakthrough was a six part scifi drama series broadcast on BBC One in 1962. It was a sequel to the very well regarded A For Andromeda. Once again Peter Halliday starred as John Fleming but this time around Andromeda was played by Susan Hampshire instead of Julie Christie.
In this serial having destroyed the computer from the 1st serial, scientist John Fleming is forced on the run with Andromeda, but he and Madeleine Dawney (Mary Morris) must join forces when a toxic enzyme threatens to destroy the Earth. Walter Gotell, who starred in The Adventures of William Tell, played Prof Neilson.
