This ambitious and major event brings the timeless story of Maria and the von Trapp family to life in an ambitious musical drama production. Based on the original stage musical and suggested by Maria Augusta von Trapp’s original memoir, The Sound of Music Live includes all of the songs from the classic score by Rodgers and Hammerstein, including How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria, Edelweiss, Do-Re-Mi, My Favourite Things, Climb Ev’ry Mountain and of course the title song.
The packed cast features stars of stage and screen, including former EastEnders star Kara Tointon as Maria von Trapp, Downton Abbey actor Julian Ovenden as Georg von Trapp.
