Bombay Blue (Channel 4 1997, Shan Khan, Donald Sumpter)
Bombay Blue was a crime drama series with a point of difference with it’s setting as a pair of Glasgow drug squad detectives travel to Bombay to track down the source of the heroin that is awash on their streets.
This was actor writer Shan Khan’s highest profile role, Donald Sumpter was at his peak here, he had spent the seventies in supporting roles and one-offs on popular shows, in the eighties though he had started to secure lead roles in series such as The Brack Report and No Excuses.
