Black Sails XXXI (Starz 12 Feb 2017, with Dale Jackson)

In Black Sails XXXI Max is arrested by Captain Berringer for treason. He had her followed when she met with Silver. He also had Silver and Israel followed but his man lost them amongst the wrecks. Berringer organises a posse to go and wheedle him out but word quickly gets out and Flint arrives just in time to rescue both Silver and Israel.

Meanwhile Blackbeard, Rackham and Anne are trailing the sloop they believe Eleanor to be on. A raiding party that includes Blackbeard and Anne falls right into a trap led by Rogers. They are greatly outnumbered and quickly overpowered. Fearing the worst Rackham raises the white flag aboard the Revenge. Rogers is determined to show what the consquences of the pirates actions will be. In a very gruesome development, Roger has Blackbeard pulled across the barnacle on the bottom of the boat and when the first time doesn’t kill him does it again. And again! Still Blackbeard refuses to die. Rogers then shoots him for good measure. In a series that has never shied away from the brutal side of life it marks the goriest and most horrific moment yet seen on the show.
