In Episode 2 of the reboot of the 1970’s original Abby, Tom and Greg realise that shelter is a priority and begin to gather the essential supplies that they know they will need simply to keep alive. Whilst in a supermarket the group are brought face to face with a vicious gang, led by Dexter, who have taken control of the shop. Amongst the gang members Abby is convinced she sees a teacher who may know the whereabouts of her son.
Having been scared off Greg goes in search of fresh supplies, whilst in a large warehouse he comes across a couple, Bob and Sarah, who are planning to collect as much material as they can to trade with and make a comfortable life for themselves. When Bob is injured badly in an accident Greg is forced to stay and look after him but it quickly becomes apparant that all Sarah is interested in is someone to do her dirty work for her. Abby and Tom meanwhile are on the track of the Teacher but cross swords once more with the gangs leader.
This second episode actually stays remarkably faithful to both the book and the second episode of the original series, albeit with more of the old ultra violence and over paciness of modern day TV.
