Thriller: Kiss Me And Die (ITV 9 Feb 1974 with Jenny Agutter)

Mem TV Episodes Generic

In Kiss Me and Die American Robert Stone arrives in a small English village looking for his brother who has gone missing, he believes his disappearance is linked to the beautiful Dominie Lanceford who lives in the local manor house. A lonely young woman who is being over protected by her uncle and his housekeeper. It seems her last three boyfriends have all walked out on her in strange circumstance….

A kind of mix of Jane Eyre meets The Wicker Man is the over riding vibe of this second season episode of Thriller. The pub interior is fabulous and Jenny Agutter is just plain gorgeous. George Chakiris is effective enough in the lead even if he using a can of hairspray for his bouffant hairdo for every scene he is in! The finale is quite effective though with the action building during a costume party celebrating the works of Edgar Allan Poe.
