60 Minutes Australia, 14 April 2024, Channel 9, “Couldn’t Care Less/Saving Paradise”
This Sunday, 60 Minutes Australia will broadcast what has been described as “some of the cruellest, most horrific vision ever seen on Australian television.” The program will feature a major investigation by Tara Brown, exposing shocking accusations of abuse against disability support workers.
The segment “Couldn’t Care Less” will reveal how disability support workers, assuming their actions would go undetected due to their vulnerable client’s inability to speak, allegedly mistreated the woman in their care. However, the woman’s elderly parents took matters into their own hands, using a hidden camera to expose the truth.
Plus, in a segment called “Saving Paradise” Adam Hegarty will report on the ingenious efforts to save the island nation of Tuvalu from rising sea levels. With its existence under threat, Australians are working to raise the height of the island through an extraordinary engineering feat.
Tune in to 60 Minutes on Channel 9 at 8:40 pm on Sunday, 14 April 2024, to watch these insightful and impactful stories.
