CBS Cancels CSI: Vegas After Three Seasons

CSI: Vegas

CBS has cancelled CSI: Vegas, bringing the revival of the crime drama to an end after three seasons. The series, which premiered in 2021, was a continuation of the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation that ran from 2000 to 2015.

The show’s cancellation comes as a disappointment to fans, with the series averaging 6.2 million total viewers and a 0.5 demo rating for its third season. While this is an increase in audience share compared to its second season, it seems that the show’s ratings were not enough to secure a renewal.

CSI: Vegas starred Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mandeep Dhillon, and Mel Rodriguez as the new core team of Crime Scene Investigators in Las Vegas. The revival also featured original cast members William Petersen, Jorja Fox, and Wallace Langham reprising their iconic roles from the first series. Marg Helgenberger, another fan-favorite from the original series, joined the cast in the second season.

The series concludes its run with its season three finale on May 17, 2024, bringing the long-running CSI franchise to a close—again. The original series, which aired from 2000 to 2015, spawned multiple spinoffs, including CSI: Miami, CSI: New York, and CSI: Cyber.

Fans have expressed their disappointment over the cancellation, with some calling for another network to pick up the series.

This news follows hot on the heels of the news that CBS have also cancelled their legal drama So Help Me Todd.
