On Thursday April 25, CBS Mornings welcomes actor, writer, and director Jerry Seinfeld, actor Jim Gaffigan, and WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert to the show.

WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert joins CBS Mornings to discuss her role as the first-ever commissioner of the WNBA. Engelbert, who previously served as the first female CEO of a Big Four professional services firm, Deloitte, is tasked with increasing visibility for women’s basketball and leading the league through transformation. During her tenure, Engelbert executed a historic player-first collective bargaining agreement, raised $75 million in capital from outside investors, and led the league through its 25th anniversary season and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jerry Seinfeld, an Emmy-winning actor and comedian, joins CBS Mornings to discuss his directorial debut, “Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story.” The film, set in 1963, is a comedic take on the true story of the creation of Pop-Tarts toaster pastries. Seinfeld, who also co-wrote and produced the film, portrays Bob Cabana, an employee of Kellogg’s. The ensemble cast includes Melissa McCarthy, Amy Schumer, Hugh Grant, and James Marsden, among others. “Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story” will be released on Netflix on May 3, 2024.

Jim Gaffigan, a Grammy-nominated comedian and actor, joins the show to also talk about “Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story.” Gaffigan portrays Edsel Kellogg III, the head of Kellogg’s. In addition to “Unfrosted,” Gaffigan has several upcoming projects, including the sci-fi drama “Linoleum” and the thriller “Susie Searches.”
