CBS Mornings welcomes Jim Farley, CEO of Ford, and senior culture and national correspondent Anthony Mason to the show on Wednesday June 5.
Jim Farley, the President and CEO of Ford, will discuss his leadership and the company’s focus on electric vehicles and digital innovation. Farley, who joined Ford in 2007, has held various roles within the company, including Chief Operating Officer, President of New Businesses, Technology and Strategy, and Executive Vice President and President of Global Markets. He has been instrumental in the reinvention of the Lincoln brand, positioning it for growth as a world-class provider of luxury vehicles and customer experience.
Farley will also share his passion for automobiles, which extends beyond his professional life. He is a collector and racer of vintage vehicles, often participating in races around the world with his 1965 Ford GT 40, 1966 427 Cobra, and 1978 Lola 298, among others. Farley recently launched the podcast “DRIVE”, which explores the influence of cars in people’s lives and how these experiences drive them to succeed.
Senior culture and national correspondent Anthony Mason will interview the cast of “Stereophonic,” a Broadway musical, and chat to Will Butler, the composer of the song “Masquerade” from the show. “Masquerade” is described as a “medieval journey stomper” and is one of the transcendent pieces of music in the play.
