Sheriff Country CBS

CBS has officially ordered ‘Sheriff Country‘, a spinoff of the popular drama series ‘Fire Country’, for the 2025-2026 broadcast season. The new series will star Morena Baccarin as Sheriff Mickey Fox, a character who was introduced in the second season of ‘Fire Country’.

‘Sheriff Country’ will expand upon the world of ‘Fire Country’ and the fictional town of Edgewater. It will focus on Mickey Fox, a straight-shooting sheriff who investigates criminal activity while navigating personal challenges, including a mysterious incident involving her wayward daughter and her ex-con father. Mickey is also the stepsister of Cal Fire’s division chief, Sharon Leone (played by Diane Farr), providing opportunities for crossovers between the two shows.

The announcement of ‘Sheriff Country’ continues the expansion of the ‘Fire Country’ franchise, following the introduction of Mickey Fox in the sixth episode of ‘Fire Country’ Season 2, titled “Alert the Sheriff“. The episode served as an introduction to the character and the potential spinoff, with Baccarin signing on as a guest star with the option to lead the spinoff as a series regular.
