In the Monday 27 May episode of Coronation Street, Sarah and Bethany find themselves unnerved as they spot Nathan driving by in his van, clearly in breach of his license conditions. The encounter leaves Bethany contemplating yet another departure from Weatherfield. Determined to take action, Sarah pays Nathan a visit at his workplace and reminds him of their agreement, where he accepted a substantial sum of money to leave town.
However, Nathan responds with mocking laughter, prompting Sarah to devise a plan to ensure his arrest. She returns to the building site with a plastic bag containing crucial evidence: a hair bobble that belonged to Lauren and was found among her belongings left at the Platts’.
Sarah’s plan, however, is almost thwarted when Kit catches her in the act. She confesses her intention to plant the hair bobble in Nathan’s van as proof of his involvement in Lauren’s murder. Kit, acting as a voice of reason, advises her to let the police handle the matter. Soon, word spreads on the street that Nathan has been arrested.
Meanwhile, in Roy’s prison cell, a book lies wrecked, its spine broken and pages soaked in tea.
