Atlanta DJ’s Wife’s Murder: The Inside Story
The murder of Tiffany Pugh, wife of Atlanta DJ Andre Pugh, also known as DJ Awesome, is set to be the focus of an upcoming episode of Dateline NBC. The episode, titled “Sound and Fury“, will air on NBC on Friday, May 10, at 9 p.m.
On November 23, 2014, popular Club Onyx DJ, Pugh, reported the murder of his wife, Tiffany, to the police. Pugh’s initial claim suggested an intruder had broken into their home and killed his wife. However, his account soon came under scrutiny as police detected inconsistencies in his story. In a Facebook post, Pugh expressed grief and asked, “Why did they take my wife?! My kids’ mom?! Where did I go wrong?”
The investigation then uncovered a disturbing twist. It was alleged that Pugh had hired a hitman to kill his wife. This hitman was identified as Adrian Harley, a close associate of Pugh’s from the club. The timing of the alleged hiring is significant, as it is believed to have taken place shortly after Tiffany revealed her intention to leave Pugh, her husband of 11 years and the father of her two children.
The episode examines the case, featuring interviews with individuals connected to the tragedy, including Jeezy, Nick Love, Tommy Jackson, Christina Lee, and Sabrena Swinger. It will explore not just the investigation but also the impact the murder had on those involved.
Dateline NBC: Sound and Fury airs on Friday May 10, 2024 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
